TEHRAN -- The chairmen of the Iranian and Polish chambers of commerce signed an MOU for the establishment of a joint commercial and economic committee in Warsaw on Tuesday.

The deal was inked at the Economic Conference of Iranian and Polish Merchants and Industrialists, which was held in the Polish capital with the aim of encouraging investments in the two countries and providing information on their capabilities, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
According to the deal, the committee is obliged to hold regular meetings to review ways to facilitate trade ties and investments.
In his address to the conference, Andrzej Arendarski, the chairman of Poland’s Chamber of Commerce, stressed the need to improve economic relations in order to boost bilateral trade.
Mohammad Nahavandian, the chairman of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines, called for the promotion of cooperation between the two nation’s private sectors in the fields of energy, industry, and mining.
At the one-day conference, a number of investors and industrialists participated in discussions and exchanged views on ways to expand economic and commercial ties between Tehran and Warsaw
